Sorcha is a classically trained pianist, with a degree in Music, majoring in performance from the University of Ireland, Maynooth.
She has completed all grades in the piano and holds an Associate Diploma and a Diploma in Piano Performance with the London College of Music.
The school began in 2012 in Lower Salthill before moving to Cookes Corner in 2016 and finally finding a permanent home in 2018 with our fully dedicated piano studio on Shantalla Road.
Sorcha is also a qualified ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance.
She has undertaken many courses as part of her continuing professional development including:

Alice Kelly
Alice has completed all grades in piano and is now working towards her Diploma in Piano Performance with the London College of Music.
In 2023 Alice graduated from the University of Galway with a bachelors degree in Music and English. She has been teaching with the Sorcha Barry Piano School since 2018.
Since graduating from the University of Galway Alice has also worked with Music for Galway on projects such as Cellissimo, a nine day cello festival, and Songs of Travel, which aims to raise awareness for climate change and migration through music.
Alice is now a Music for Galway board member.
Alice has often participated in classical music concerts as a page turner for professional pianists.
She enjoys attending live music of all genres, particularly classical music.
In her free time Alice sings with the Cois Cladaigh Chamber Choir; she loves singing a varied repertoire, ranging from rennaissance music to contemporary Irish and International works.
